AGH! That was tricky. Did everyone make it to the new post site?

Doing pretty well. On day thirteen. Does anyone else have discomfort when yawning. I'm feeling kinda tired and am about to take a nap. It kills to yawn and I can't get in a good, satiating one that feels like a deep breath. Weird.
Scolby, I started like you eating soups. My first real solid food I think was scrambled eggs. Then mushy mac n' cheese. I may have had those on day four or five. Lots of meds beforehand though. And, just to warn you, they got stuck in my open healing cavities and I started to freak out. But my doc reccommended gargling with hydrogen peroxide and water (1-1 ratio) to swish out all the nasty food. By day seven, when I went in for post-op, she reccommended I try some more normal foods, like soft, white pizza. That means no acidic tomato sauce or fresh tomatoes. It's usually just mozzarella and olive oil. I thought I would only be able to handle the toppings, but I ate softer parts of the crust too. It was the best meal I've ever eaten! Oh, I asked my doctor if I need to stay away from things like onion and garlic, and she said as long as it's cooked some, it should be great. That means the end to boring food! Kind of. Good luck. You'll be there in no time.

Aly,

Roll call? Cathy..here

I read your post about the yawning thing a few minutes ago...I wish I hadn't...been trying to get a decent yawn since then to no avail. They say you can't resist yawning when you see someone else yawn, so I guess it's true that you can't resist trying to yawn when you've heard someone has tried to yawn.

Thanks for reminding me of the mac n cheese dish...yummy....hubby fixed mashed potatoes, peas and carrots with a chopped beef steak last night....and of course, him being Cajun with the seasonings...one bite was all I could eat!

Ice creams burns like hell! But thankfully, my ENT told me I should practice eating ice cream before the surgery so I got my belly full of it anyway! Think the "you can eat ALL the ice cream you want to" is a trick to get babies to agree to have the surgery.

Take care all,
Cathy

Hey I'm here! I am starving!!!!! I had some more chicken noodle soup today, but it didn't fill me up. I feel sick just cause my stomach is empty...hmmm...does anyone have any suggestions for foods that will fill me up?? Nothing too sweet - sweet things just don't sound good right now. I tried some eggs, but it hurt, then I went back to my soup. Has anyone tried eating grits?
