what's next??

ok, anyone knows whats next after unsuccessful attemps with duac (am) and differin (pm), then switched to retin-a micro (.04) which just made my face red. I've been on doxycyline for 5 months now too. Does anybody know what the derm will suggest when i go next week? The only think i can think of is klaron lotion. my face isn't all that bad, but bad enough. anyone??

If all that isn't working and your derm. thinks your acne is very persistent even if it isn't severe acne he may suggest accutane. My face is slowly getting better with the differin and klaron lotion combo along with Doxy 100 mg once a day. My acne is only mild to moderate also. He said if this regime didn't help he would bump me up to retin a and if that didn't work he said he wanted to try accutane.

Save yourself the time and money. Ask for Accutane. I used to be like you, skipping from antibiotic to antibiotic to cream to cleanser etc. etc., and nothing was working. My acne was pretty bad, but more so it was PERSISTENT. People think that Accutane is just for severe acne, but in reality, it is for persistent acne - and even mild acne can be persistent.

Yep Cassie is right go for the accutane.I also had that type of acne nothing else worked i tried it all belive me. Spiro, Tetro,doxy,adoxa,emycin, Diffren,Benzoclyn ,benzamycin,Retin A micro,klaron,Tazorax,Proactive,Natural things.
Light therapy,and weekly facials.Basically nothing really helped . I am pg now so im on Azelex in am benzamycin in pm and oral emycin. they dont help too much but are better then nothing. As soon as i give birth im going straight back on accutane its the only thing that works

i used cleocinT lotion when i was on doxy, worked great.
