Relion error

Many times when I try to take my BP, I get EE and no readouts using my relion. I have also noticed in the history, there are no readings with the top number at 160 or above.

Has anyone experienced this? Is it time for a new monitor?
Thanks

Re: Relion error

I had 2 relions and both caused me the same problem. My doc told me they weren't made to go above 160 so every time my BP went up (and that was daily back then) I got EE. I bought an omron at my local pharmacy and no more EEs. The ones that work have a sensor called "intelli sense"

Re: Relion error

Thanks, time for a new BP monitor. I am going through changes in meds right now and really need to have all the numbers. I get the EE daily too.

Re: Relion error

I got a new Relion monitor a month or two ago. I'd had a manual monitor before, but it was at least five years old. Since the cuff had gone bad and would have had to be replaced anyway, I thought it was a good time to get an automatic one, since I'd been reading on these boards that the automatic were more accurate. Well, I'm one very disappointed customer! I don't get the EE often for normal readings. On those occasions I have, I just try it again and it is usually fine. But I have wanted to test my blood pressure/heart rate immediately after exercise, and it just won't work then. I have had the thing go up higher, over 200, after it starts to measure, then decides it didn't go far enough, but it never would do that when I tried it after exercise. I just got the EE instead.
