What is the likelyhood of pregnancy if...?
This past weekend I spent the night over at my boyfriends house.
Well unfortunetly I forgot my pills.
So Monday, I took Saturday, Sunday and Monday's pills all at once at my regular pill time, 11 pm.
I didn't know what to do!
I juss figured it was juss like when you miss 1, you take it as soon as you can, and then take the next one at your regular time.
Well the week before, I had also missed my pill, took it the next night with my other one.
I'm 18, on Sprintec, A Sunday Starter.
Well I guess you could say I'm risking alot, but I don't think anything will happen. I've been on the pill since October of 2004.
I don't use condoms or any other protection because my boyfriend and I were virgins before we had sex. But I'm not stupid! I know that if for any reason we break up, I need to protect myself with others!
So what are the chances of me getting pregnant?
We had sex countless of times this weekend...

Re: What is the likelyhood of pregnancy if...?
Sorry to say, but the chances are probably just as high as if you weren't on birth control
I haven't taken the pill for two years, but if I remember correctly, once you miss more two pills, you are supposed to throw the pack out, and use a second form of birth control until you get your period. I think you can squeak by safely by doubling TWO pills, but not three. Some people will probably attack and disagree with me here, but this was what my doctor had set up for me: If I missed two pills, throw them away, and wait for my period to come. Once the period comes, then start the pills again on the first Sunday after my period arrives.
Every woman is different, and so is every doctor, so I am not saying these rules will apply to you also!
I wouldn't worry 100%, because there is always the chance that even if the pills were not effective, you might not have gotten pregnant. I had unprotected sex after I got married, for two years straight, and it took two years to get pregnant!
Good luck.

Thank you for the advice, but should I be worried?

Re: What is the likelyhood of pregnancy if...?
I agree with the last poster.
If you miss 1 pill 1 day, it is ok to take it the next and take 2 pills that day, but any more then that, you should disguard the pack, wait for period and start over again, and in this case it is alot easier to get pregnant, even though it was only a few days, that is why they tell you not to miss them lol, anyway, also instead of taking the one you missed with the one you normally take, you should be taking it, even by itself, as soon as you realize you forgot it. I don't know that I would worry too much, cause worrying, and the stress of being pg, can cause your body to give you a false pregnancy, which is all the symptoms, but not be, and that can be scary also.
A word of advice though, if you forget your pills, you should always have a backup incase. good luck to you.

Re: What is the likelyhood of pregnancy if...?
Actually, you should read the instructions that come with your pills, because none of the pills I've ever taken have said that. My instructions have always read if you miss one, take it as soon as you remember and take your next as usual. If you miss 2, take them both as soon as you remember and take 2 the next day, and use a back-up method for the next 7 days. If you miss three then you throw away the pack, start a new one, and use a back-up method for the next 7 days.
And this was the same for three different brands. One brand made a distinction between what week it was but it was effectively the same. As I said, read your brand's instructions. I'm pretty sure it's not as bad as if you weren't on the pill. Just use a condom for the rest of the week, or abstain.
