How about arnica gel or cream? You can get it at any health/natural foods store. Works great for bruises,swelling, scrapes etc.

Bromelain is good, but you can be allergic to it. It is also available at health food stores. It is an enzyme derived from pineapple.

Cost is usually $5-10
