Post Trepidation and Bump on nose

I want a bump removed on my nose....I want a nice straight nose..(my surgeon said he would leave a tiny rise..too straight would look unnatural he said)...I'm so concered that if my bump is removed my nose might appear narrower -WHICH I DON"T WANT-I mean, if the bone is broken and pushed back together...isn't my nose going to appear narrower?....He talked to me a bit about this but I don't understand really. The bottom line is I would rather keep my bump than have a narrower nose; it is a small nose already....any Suggestions?...or Words of encouragement!...
I'm planning on booking my appointment tomorrow. I've been thinking about this for over a year.. and have seen him twice in a year; and he's great; tells me I have time and that I should feel really comfortable and sure when I make the appointment and to wait until I feel like that before I do. The problem Is, I think I will ALWAYS feel unsure and nervous about this, but I want it. Should I be feeling totally sure and relaxed before I book???...I just don't think thats gonna happen; but I want to get it done...I'm confused; Its not like I'm looking forward to it; The Unknown Outcome is always scary...even If I feel secure with the Doc....
