hey - i had a meeting with the doc who did my rhino (i am 3 weeks today)and he said to "please give him 10 weeks" to let the rest of the swelling go down, but that he "had to break the bridge" to narrow it (which totally backfired - i have the bridge of a boxer..). Now, PRE-OP when he told me what was going to happen he said he would just "file" the dorsal hump - no breaking bc the nose was narrow naturally...that coupled with the fact that he never mentioned breaking it until 3 weeks out (only when i called him on it). It seems that he is contradicting himself ("wont break it - too narrow - had to break it to make it narrow..."). The protrusion on the left hand side is larger than on the right and actually creates a shadow into the orbital socket..very attractive. The tip is easily twice the size (if not 3 times) as its original (but this i will wait out for swelling). So, from all i can gather, he broke the bridge and then didn'tset it properly which left it really really broken looking (i have had 6 people ask if i broke my nose, two thought it must have been a car accident...i haven't got the nerve to say that i actually paid $$$$ to get this "look"...) The second thing to come out of the doc's mouth was that he "reserved time and space at the surgi-center TOMORROW to numb the area ande POP the bones into place..." - i took this as at least owning up to some responsibility of neglegence. My response was that i dont have the leisure to go around for the next three weeks hiding out (i have 4 children and help my husband with his business - which means that i need to be QUEENIE PEON out in public...). He wasn't impressed that i couldn't make the appointment and asked "when would be a good time?" I said "JULY". And that's when he said to give him 10 weeks...THIS SUX!!!! I am distraught and i dont know WHAT to do? Do i trust him to fix it? (obviously i DID trust him at one point) or do i sue him? I honestly down know...thanks for your support and input - warmly, jayem PS - any make-up tips???
