Post Want to have plastic surgery on face

Hey everyone! I am a 17 year old female who wants to have plastic surgery done on my face. See, I am not symmetrical at all. When I look in the mirror, I can clearly see that one side of my cheeks is bigger than the other. It doesn't hurt, and I even asked my doctor about it last year. He said that not everyone is symmetrical. However, when I see pictures of myself, I can't help but feel disgusted....it kinda looks like I have the mumps. Is it okay to have plastic surgery on this sort of thing?

Hi,
I know a lot of people dont agree with cosmetic surgery but I think if it is going to make you feel better about yourself then you should do it. I wanted to get my breast done for years,I hated the way I look in clothes and in a bathing suit, my friends were always skinny and had nice breast. I finally got them done about 3 weeks ago and have never been so happy and felt good about myself like I do now.

I believe if you want to have this done and your doing it for yourself then yes sweetie it's ok! I can understand how you feel about not being happy with yourself and you know that if you do this it will make you feel beeter about youself, you shouldnt have to feel your going to be sick when you look at a picture of yourself, you should want to look at pictures of yourself and be able to look in the mirror and say your beautiful....

It is very important you look into a good doctor, someone that knows what he is doing and that has been doing it for years, that has had good results, and that is board certified by the american board of cometic surgery. You can ask to speak with some of their paitents, and see how the pain was and how happy there are with there results..if he is a good doctor he wont mind. Go to more then one doctors and have a list of questions to ask, maybe you can do some research on the computer also..

I hope this help you a little bit, good luck!

Thank you very much for your reply blueeyes! I was reminded yesterday though, that plastic surgery is not covered by health insurance.
