Question rhinoplasty in Ca -- PLEASE give advice!

Hi. I've been researching California plastic surgeons for a rhinoplasty and chin implant. Some doctors claim to be affiliated with universities, but when I check out their claims, it's not always true!

I am scared of deciding, because I want to make sure I choose the right doctor for me.

Does anyone have any referrals for me?

Or any comments on this list of doctors I've managed to pare down to?
Dr. Zarem (Santa Monica)
Dr. Wolfenden (San Francisco)
Dr. Fleming (Beverly Hills)
Dr. Timothy Miller (Los Angeles)
Dr. Gruber

Please give me any guidance you might have!!

Thanks,
Mandi

HI. I went to Dr. Bruce Daniels, 1 1/2 hrs north of Santa Barbara, in Santa Maria. It's much cheaper than L.A. and I researched this Dr. He's practiced 30 years with out a complaint. My nose is just great! I love it. Keep us informed. Bye for now!

If done correctly is a rhinoplasty undetectable. I am going to get one done within a year or two but I want it basically to look like I never had one done even under a bright light. Is this possible?

Well, if you don't need anything done to your nostrils, I have heard that it's so undectable that you have to tell another Dr. that you've had one. They can't even tell. If you get something done to your nostrils as I have, there are a stich near each curve of the nostril, but unless you're looking in a magnification mirror with no make up on, you can't see them, they blend in the curve. Please write back soon, I want to know if you are going for a consult.
bye for now............Jag

Stilljustagirl,

I am saving money right now for it so I probably wont get a consult for a least a year but I definetly know I am going to get one done.I dont want anything done to my nostrils or my thickness. My nose is actually nice shaped, no hook or anything but from the side it is a little long.

About 3 months or so before I have enough money I am going to do some intense research on rhino. This is something I am going make sure it is done RIGHT! This is going to be with me the rest of my life so I am not going to jump in this without knowing.

My sister lives in Santa Barbara so I will definetly look into Dr.Daniels.

I have a few questions I hope you can help me with:

How much was your procedure?

How long was your downtime or recovery?

Have you had any problems as far as breathing or pain from rhino?

Does it bother you that people would view you differently? (What I mean is people would probably tell me why did you get one done but I want it done for me and I think it would bother me that they would view me as vain or look at me different.

Oh ya last question are you happy with it?

Thanks for your help

David
