Question Low sex drive on the pill..

I've been on the pill (synphasic) for 14 years (I'm 30). I've noticed that my sex drive has ben decreasing gradually over the past while. I decided to change brands to see if that would make a difference. It's been three months on Triquilar and I've not noticed much of a change in sex drive but I have gained about 7 pounds and my periods are a bit heavier. Does anyone have any suggestions about which pill to try next?

Unfortunately, there is no way to know what pill might not affect you this way.

Are you certain that there is nothing else in your life causing the decreased libido? No illness, added stress, etc?

Triquilar is a combination of levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol, so the best you can do is try a pill that doesn't have this exact combination. Examples include Mircette, Yasmin, Desogen, Loestrin, Lo/Ovral, Ortho-Cept, Brevicon, Demulen, Necon, Modicon, Norethin, Norinyl, Ortho-Cyclen, Ortho-Novums, Ovcon, Zovia, Estrostep Fe, Ortho Tri-Cyclen and Tri-Norinyl,

Or, you could a monophasic pill.

Granted, the above suggestions aren't taking into account the first pill you were on, as I don't know what it was.
