anyone on coumadin and smoking

I was just put on coumadin last week after ending up in ICU for 6 days with blood clots in my lungs. I was a smoker and smoked about a pack aday. When I got out I said I was never going to smoke again as that was so scarey and I was so luckey to still be walking around and breathing. Well my man smokes and sure enough I started up again but I only have 3 tops 4 in a whole day and I never ever finish it. I have like 5 or 6 puffs and am done..will this hurt me super bad and was wondering how many others smoke while on it. My levels were 2320 for the clotting test and are now at 4.79 which is awsome

ummmm, i smoke a pack a day and take coumadin and plavix...

why are you on the coumadin?

i have antiphospholipid antibodies and hyperhomocysteinuria which caused me to have several strokes. i take a whole plateful of meds everyday but plavix and coumadin are blood thinners.

embarrassed to say that even after having my stroke, and being on 13mg of coumadin (no, they still cant get inr in range) i still smoke.

not condoning it here...just answering you...
i have antiphospholipid antibody syndrome..31 years old. tried really hard, but sometimes, hey, what can i say, its not so easy..
