Dr. Harry Springer in Chicago

Has anyone here gone to Dr. Harry Springer in Wilmette? I'm new to this internet thing and i've been using it to reserach different surgeons in and around chicago and I'm leaning toward him. He's been board certified for a long time and that's important to me.

I'm really close to setting an appointment, but I'm hoping to find a past patient to get a direct impression of him.

Hi Cindy,
I haven't used Dr Springer myself but I was in contact with his office a while back. I was planning on going to him until I got in contact with a couple of his patients that used him for breast augmuntation. They did not have much positive things to say about him. He had made mistakes in placement of their implants and when they wanted him to fix his mistakes he was a real jerk about it and wanted to charge them as much to fix it as they paid originally. Most surgeons takes care of these sort of things for free or for a drasrically reduced fee.

If you're planning on traveling to Chicago for your procedure there are many good surgeons you can use. But I would not recomend Dr Springer. I know he's good at marketing himself but that does not mean that he's a good surgeon. I believe that if he was a good and sincere surgeon he wouldn't have to market himself as agressively as he does.
I live in Chicago and I had a BA earlier this year. I have many names of doctors both here and in California that I can give you depending on the procedure you are having.

Momo, how did you get the names of his past patients? Did Dr. Springer give you their names? I'd love to speak with them - his staff seem so nice and speak so highly of him - he's on a number of different medical boards - are you sure it's the same Harry Springer?

Of course his staff speaks highly of him; that is part of what they get paid to do. Generaly a surgeon will not reveal the names of any of his other patients, although there are ways you can find out. Also just because he is a member of something, does not mean he is a good surgeon. The prior poster knew exactly what she was talking about. Please listen to her!
