Sinus surgery for the third time

I'm having sinus reduction surgery for the 3rd time for chronic sinusitis and my ENT said that I didn't need antibiotics because my sinuses had no puss. Ok I'm pretty sure that I know when I have a sinus infection and I know I have one right now. My drainage is thick and it's gotten so green and infected it's almost rust colored now. My ears are plugged my face is going to burst but "there's no puss" so no antibiotics. So do I just go into surgery like this!? Or should I call my regular doctor and have it cleared up before surgery? I go in for sugery on the 29th and they usually put me on a 10 day dose of augmentin to clear up but since I've had this latest sinus infection for at least 3 months it will probably take longer.

What do you guys think??
