Nasal Spray techniques (ie. flonase, astelin)

I have been noticing that when i use my flonase, I have the urgency to blow my nose immediately after use. I been doing this for months b/c I hate the feeling of something inside my nose. Then I read the packaging one day saying not to blow for at least fifteen minutes!! yikes. but sometimes i feel like its dripping out that's why i used to do that. here's what i do: look towards the ground, spray away from septum and snort up a little, then do other side immediately. Anyone have a method that ensures that none drips out?

*I have noticed this particulary in the morning maybe when i do my flonase. maybe it's b/c im stuffier? or maybe the solution is thicker? when i did my astelin this evening, it went back pretty nicely despite the taste we all love.

Re: Nasal Spray techniques (ie. flonase, astelin)

I am more into just pointing the spray bottle towards the back of my head. I lean over and then aim more horizontally. That way I am getting back into my nose . If you hit the side or the top of your nose and dont get back where it needs to go it will usaully leak back out becuase there is nothing there to absorb it. Also your supposed to use your left hand for your right side and vice versa that way you are aiming away from the septum. Some spray bottles also dont work as well as others. I really like the nasacort spray bottle it has a really good pump on it.

I started Nasacort yesterday, and it does seem to have a superior spraying action. I've tried nasonex, rhinocort, and flonase in the past, and have had trouble with all of them.
