Angry HELP!! any advise appreciated.

Hello, as you may or may not already know I have been having some problems with my toe nails for quite some time. To some it up, I have had nail fungus in two of my toe nails, one for about 5 years, the other about 2 years. Recently I discovered another nail that I *think* might be starting to get the fungus. I don't know for sure, but to describe it, it is starting to turn white with white lines across it. I was just wondering if there was anything I can do to stop the fungus, before it gets bad. My nail is still connected and what not, but I am scared it is going to be just like the other disgusting nails. I am aware of the pills I can take by prescription, however I cannot afford them and to be honest am too scared to take them. I have been using vinegar on my nails recently, but only time will tell if this actually works. Thanks for any advise you may have... I just want my nice feet back!!!

There are quite a few things that will work, but nothing will work if you do not apply it at LEAST twice daily, keep your feet clean and dry, do not wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row (especially tennis shoes or leather shoes).

People have claimed good results by constantly using:

Vinegar
Vick's Vapor Rub
Reclaim AF
Lamasil Creame
Thymol (contained in Vapor Rub)
Penlac (pescription)
Lamasil (prescription)
Sporanox (prescription)

Choose ONE and stick with it. It can take anywhere from a year or more to kill the fungal spores if you stick with twice daily applications. The fungus lives in the skin of the nail bed and eats the proteins in the nail plate for food. This is why Doctors prescribe and recommend Lamasil as an oral medication as it gets in tot e blood stream and carried the medication to the source.

Fungus infection will spread from one toe/finger to the nexdt if you use the same file on the infected toe that you do on the others. The spores get onto the file or any type of metal instrument/implement you use on your nails and that's how they 'travel'.

Re: HELP!! any advise appreciated.

The vinager WILL MOST DEFINATELY WORK. I have been using 2 drops twice a day rubbing it into the cuticle and after 8 months I only have a little ways to go before my toenail is completely healed. My toenail was deformed, thick and raised off the nailbed. My new toenail is pink flat and pretty again. I also off and on (when I can remember put 1 drop twice a day of Thymol into the area of seperation) I ran out of the thymol for 3 months and continued the vinager and it kept growing out normal.

HAVE PATIENCE---it will work.

Re: HELP!! any advise appreciated.

I have a normal toe nail after using apple cider vinegar for the last 4 months. It had been fungus-infected for nearly 10 years. You have to be patient and use the vinegar every day, rubbing it gently into the cuticule twice a day as anton2 mentioned.
