need help from retin a users, or anyone who has been permanently reddened by BP use
A few years ago I was trying dan's regimen (the one online where you uses lots and lots of BP), I used pro activ's Bp followed by clinique dramatically different moisturizer. my cheeks would burn and sting and get red, and ever since have been much redder and the pores are bigger too (they were always bigger than the rest of my face but got worse.). I really want to try retin a now because Im very very prone to blackheads and as of late my skin has a thickened slightly wrinkled look and it easily flakes off . But Im afraid of causing more damage to the areas already damaged by the BP use.-and these are the places get the most blackheads . Im not seeing a derm , am going it along *no health insurance, and cant afford doc right now. Does anyone have a similar problem who had doctor's advice, and can advise me ? I dont want to **** up my face more but i cant stand the way I look,. makeup is usseless cuz of the flaking,and ive tried sa and it didnt work much. same for ahas. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

I'm no expert or anything, but that sounds like eczema... Nizoral shampoo is something the derm gave me to use as a face wash for it, and I believe she said it is also available over-the-counter...who knows, the BP may have made the eczema flare up.
