I thought it was funny to call the BP meds that didn't work well with us Duds....I thought it would be fun to share your DUD drugs!!

Mine are:
Lotrel
Atenolol
Cardizem
Avapro
Avalide - Made me crazy!!!

DUDS!!

LOL, What a good idea

I've only been on 3 but mine would have to be

Aldomet

Which I've been on for a year, it does nothing for me, at 250mg three times a day, funny thing is, the doctor still keeps me on them
Don't know till Monday if I'm going to call Teveten a "Dud", maybe it's just me, heh

Not for me but for my mom: avapro, toprol xl, lisinopril, hctz and the awful norvasc.

Re: Dud BP drugs...taken from another thread.

No list would be complete without the long-acting Corgard (nadolol) with it's 3 day half life, it can make atenolol seem like a PEP pill once the levels of nadolol accumulate high enough (each day's pill adding to the ones before.)

ALL of the ACE inhibitors belong on the list becasue of the frequency of endless coughing...my personal experience was with Vasotec (enalapril.) <cough, COUGH>

And for it's dismal results BP-wise, I'd add Cozaar (losartan.)
