Thumbs down Feeling sick..

For the past few days, I have been very nauseated. It gets so bad that it keeps me up most of the night, and when I do finally get to sleep, I wake up covered in sweat. I'm not sure what's wrong with me.

But, let me start from the beginning. Two years ago (I was 17 at the time), I was rushed to the emergency room because I was having terrible stomach pains which would cause me to double over and almost faint. It was thought to have been my appendix, but it was not. I was diagnosed with PCOD (poly-cystic ovarian disease); they were and still are extremely painful. The ER doctor put me on promethazine for the nausea. It was only 6 pills and I only needed 2 at the time. A few days later, I went to the OBGYN for a follow up, and she decided to put me on birth control to minimize the growth of the cysts. She explained to me that surgery was an option but it was not necessary because it would cause scar tissue and the cysts would probably grow back anyway. She put me on Ovcon-35 and I took it for about a year. I went back for my yearly checkup (By this time, I was 19) and she changed my birth control to Yasmin (I didn't have health insurance and she thought the health department provided Yasmin) which also worked well, and I had no problems. At that time, I was also diagnosed with having HPV (common for cervical cancer) and was sent to the health department for further testing. I was told that there wasn't anything they could do, by state law, until I was 20.

Anyway, they didn't have Yasmin. They had Ortho-tricylen, so I was put on that. I've been on that for about 6 months and every time I take it, it makes me sick. I can either stop taking it and be in constant agonizing pain, or take it and be nauseated all the time. I choose the latter.

Anyway, my question is- are there any old wives tails that help with nausea? I have 2 of the pills the ER dr prescribed, but they won't last me long. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!
