Lovenox (bleeding??)

My name is debbi and I just recently got treated with a blood clot in my arm. My doctor put me on the lovenox shot. I injected it for the first time today.My question is i am bleeding alot from it. Is this normal. I injected it into my thigh thats what the doc told me to do. Then i put a little pressure on it to stop whatever bleeding i would have and its still bleeding? is this normal can anyone answer me?

When I had the blood clots in my lungs I had to have the injections of levonax and they were done in my tummy. I have never heard of them being in the leg and I know alot of people who have had these shots. Where are you from? I never bled that much from mine. So I do not think that to be normal unless your blood is to thin

well i am also on blood thinners thats probally why im bleeding alot..I am on plavix. I am from south carolina. But when i looked at it this morning the blood did clot so its fine now

i was also told only to give it in the belly and even then i would have injection site some days that just keep leaking
i would ask doctor i had many docs wile i was on lovenox and all agreed the belly was the only place it was to be given and i was pregnant

Lovenox should NOT be put into your leg. It is a subcutanous shot and should be put into the fat in your tummy. So for now put some ice on it and call your doctor.

Did they find out what caused the clot in your arm??
