oxycodone and sleep aids

is it to take over the counter sleep aids (unisom) if your on oxycodone (generic percoset i think)

Unisom is a very weak antihistamine that can help a litttle with sleepiness. There shouldnt be any danger from the unisom but the Oxycodone can make one very sleepy and one should not have any alcohol with the Oxycodone. If its severe pain thats keeping you awake even with this powerful narcotic, maybe you need to see a pain specialist? If its anxiety or depression there are medicines for these. Trazadone can be a very good sleeping aid.
