I have had bone taken from my hip and it is now sore.

I have had bone taken from my hip it is sore now when i move i hope this wont always be the case *** i already have arthritis to in lots of joints in my body but hopefully my foot will improve now ive had the operation fusion done.

Hopefully the above will not be permenant at all.

Hi Dolphin,

I had bone taken from my right hip in 1990 for a Cervical fusion. It was quite frankly more of a bother than the fusion. It would bother me regularly, then after a year or so only now and then. About ten years later I was standing up and had a terrible sharp pain in my hip at the extraction site. It dropped me to the floor.

I immediately went to my doc who took an x-ray and found nothing. It hasn't bothered me since. Can't explain it. But I'm not complaining.

I'm sure yours will quiet down and quit bothering you in time.

Hi everyone, I just like to know how long does rehibilitation takes for hip surgery? If so, would you recommend such surgery?

My rhemumatologist wants me to see a surgeon because of my troubled hip which is starting to fuse because of my Ankolysing spodylitis arthritis.

Hi Jimmy,

My hip has recovered now from op took a couple of months altogether,but fine now apart from the fact ive just been diagnosed with bursitis,inflammation in my hip,and leg same side as op so am on anti-inflammatories baclofen and also being sent to phisio as my R.O.M. is 60 degrees movement in my leg.
