Need quick advice so I can start antibiotic, someone help!

Hello. It is time for me to start an antibiotic called ceftin 500 mg. I have had fluid in my ear for 2 weeks and was on zithromax twice. I stopped taking the 2nd round of zithromax on Thursday, and on Friday, my doctor put me on ceftin. I was late starting the 2nd round of zithromax, and didn't tell my doctor, and she thought I finished it 10 days ago, but i actually finished it the day before she prescribed the ceftin. Will it be okay to start the ceftin?
I am also taking claritin.

I just need to make sure its okay to take the ceftin with the zithromax still possibly in my system since they are different antibiotics.

It should be fine, because they had to switch me around on antibiotics for a while, because the Cipro made me sick. I went from taking Cipro in the morning to another anti at night. Call your pharmacest just to double check though, would be my advice
