penicillin cause drowsiness??

i am currently on penicillin 3x a day for 10 days, started last sunday for strep throat, the strep has gone away and my throat feels much better, except i'm getting periods of drowsiness throughout the day. I also take 800mg ibruprophen for tension headaches 2x or 3x a day...are these drugs making me drowsy?

While these aren't drugs that are typically associated with causing drowsiness, some people do claim to be sensitive to them (particularly the ibuprofen). Have you tried taking a lower dosage of ibuprofen?
