Most people find that they have to slowing wean themselves from drugs like
Ativan. This is best done under a physician's supervision, so speaking with your physician should be your first step. You could also consider speaking with your pharmacists on how to effectively and safely titrate your dose so that you don't experience withdrawal. Usually, this is done by taking a slightly smaller dose for a few weeks, then lowering the dose for a few more weeks, and continue to lower it until no dependency seems evident.
