Question neck pain and dizziness

hi,
last night i experienced dizziness (huge overwhelming waves of pain in my head and having to shut my eyes and hesitate every time i moved), a sore neck (several days now), nausea, and just an all-around dead kind of feeling.
i take lexapro 10mg, allegra, flonase, minocycline..i think that's all. i took some benadryl and sonata to knock myself out since i felt so bad.
any ideas? any feedback is appreciated.
thank you!

Re: neck pain and dizziness

I have been suffering from neck pain and dizziness as well. I don't feel like doing anything and have a very heavy head. But when I take allegra I feel a lot better. Do the allergy medications help you at all?

Re: neck pain and dizziness

Hi I have discovered that there are 3 things that can cause it. 1. Structural 2. Bio/Chemical 3. Emotional/mental

Sounds like it could be structural. I have experienced all sort of body aches and pains including dizziness and neck pain.

I found a fantastic dr who is a chiropractor. He said that my spinal had subluxations that press on my nerves in my spine, these can result in all manner of symptoms.

I recommend you find a good chiro, but beware you need to find one that does sacro occipital technique and is open minded to holistic health. Normal chiros crack and crunch you and send you on your way never fixing the problem completely. A chiro that does sacro occipital technique uses block and a tapping device to realign the spine. But wont do that until your pelvis is aligned. Most of the misalignment seems to start there. Thats what I have discovered and it worked for me and many others.

By the way I also had reflux for 3 years as well and the last year really bad tried everything, after have my pelvis and spine aligned the symptoms disappeared. Apparently my gallbladder was being effected and that was causing the reflux. How on earth would you ever figure that one out...... Lucky me...not really I kept asking the question 'whats causing it' don't stop until you are satisfied.

Re: neck pain and dizziness

just an FYI here when it comes to seeing a chiro for any neck adjustments.DO NOT even make an appt with any chiro until you have at least had the benefit of one good c spine MRI in order to really see whats up inside your c spine.in some cases, neck adjustments that are made with certain conditions going on either just in the c spine structure or even within the cord itself could have very possible devistating results when blind adjustments are made without knowing all that is going on within that area down to the cord level.it just needs a total look see before doing anything that could put your cord or the blood vessels in jeopardy.an X ray will only show you the outside of the spine not the inside where the nerves and, blood vessels and spinal cord are.this just really needs to be done BEFORE any actual hands on is done by any chiro at any time.people have suffered huge deficits by having adjustments made that are pretty much blind.my particular condition of having a glob of blood vessels within my cord could have caused me major devistation with a brand new bleed if i had actually done the chiro thing before actually obtaining that MRI.after that,my NS told me straight out,no chiropractors.

trust me when i say that no one has a freakin clue as to what is really going on within any area of your body til you really get in there and take a good hard look with the appropriate scan,no one.you can have all kinds of congenital stuff going on within any area of your body and just not have a clue its there til it is either picked up on a scan of some sort or it just starts to show itself to you.i also found out at age 40 that i had been suffering from a congenital kidney disease all my life, but i had no freaking clue even ran in our family til my son went into liver failure becasue of the form of this disease he had recieved had been killing his liver all his life,we just didn't know it.freaky stuff courtesy of genetics.this just has to be considered, thats all.you just do not know whats there til you take a look.better safe than sorry, espescially when it comes to something like your spinal cord.there are also many possible structural issues that could permanently affect the cord if blind adjustments were made.just have it checked before doing anything else to that area.FB
