Hi everyone
I was wondering if it's ok to use full strength 3 percent peroxide every day for a mouth wash? Also after 3 weeks would it be ok for the extraction holes now? Thanks

Re: peroxide mouth wash

Ritaann, there is a product called PEROXYL made by Colgate. That's what it is - Hydrogen Peroxide. It's an Antiseptic Oral Cleanser that promotes the healing of oral irritations. You can find it by the mouthwash. I buy it at Wal-Mart. It's wonderful. I started using it the first week after my extractions.

Re: peroxide mouth wash

Just stick with low count salt water- the problem with peroxide, is it kills all the healthy tissue surrounding it! Dries it up, and kills it off..
Uck! A mellow solution of salt water is all you need..
The BEST!! Salt water will kill everything and anything without getting a doctor invoilved-HA!
Peroxide kills heathy tissues, too-it doesn't know when to quit- salt water does- it will TELL you!
STOP! I'm OK! So stop now- ha ha. Peroxide just keeps eating away at everything- it does not tell you when to quit! Thus, a lot of people overdue it- because no one has told them, and peroxide won't tell you- Salt will-it says I sting- STOP! HA!
