Do you drool alot

I was wondering if any of you that have tooth pain or an infected tooth, if you drool alot when you sleep? Here lately i have been slobbering all over my pillow and i have an infected tooth i am waiting for my insurance to okay the procedure and i can get it fixed.....i also have nite sweats....ack...get this thing out of me!!

Although I am not sure if drooling is a result of the infected tooth, your body may be aware of it and you therefore are subconsciencely keeping your mouth open while sleeping - especially if it is painful. It may be your body's way of dealing with this. I have drooled most of my life - however I also have tmj. The night sweats may be from a slight fever due to the infection as well. You should ask your dr for an antibiotic - until then rinse a few times a day with warm water & salt to flush it out and keep the infection in check until you get to the dentist.
