nite time body itching..please help!!

Im a 49 year old healthy male developing in the past week a kind of itching in different/all parts of the body especially noticed at nite.Feels like a small bug bite itch ,comes on fast and needs scratching .. after scratching will stop itch then another spot will itch some where else on the body,relief from scratching..etc etc its driving me nuts,and interferring with sleep obviously..tryed oatmeal bathes,some left over prednasone,gold bond powder,benedrl-seems to work a little,so does topical sunburn spray..cant figure this out..started flonase recently for sesonal allergies, but have taken that in the past with no problems..any help/input appreciated...

Have you change any detergents soaps, shampoos ect? If so that might be the cause.
