Afeditab cr 30 mg

I recently just change my BP perscription from Norvasc 5 mg to Afeditab cr 30 mg. My BP with norvasc would run an average 140/86 and with Afeditab so far an average 131/82. I was taking Norvasc for about 4 years with no side affects. I also like to drink beer at night but not to much. I also take supplements including folic acid, flaxseed oil, magnesium, vitamin c, fish oil, garlic and oneAday. What BP med is safe for me and what BP med is safe for my organs. Also my age is 42 with a family history of BP. Thanks.... :-)

Re: Afeditab cr 30 mg

I guess I will reply to my own measage......Side effects with afeditab that replaced my norvasc: I first started out feeling very faint at one time but it went away. My legs swelled a little ( might have been my tight socks ), I due feel a little shakey but even worse if I drink coffee. The real bad one is I get this real bad headache in the back of my head that will not stop unless I take something for it. My PB today is 128/83 and I will see my doc tomorrow. I personaly think that afeditab gives you the shakes and adds to an existing alergy type headache or stress headache. For all who read I will keep you posted..... :-)

Re: Afeditab cr 30 mg

Update information on Afeditab that replaced my Norvasc....I had an ongoing reaction to Afeditab that got worse as the weeks pass and did not know it, I thaught it was just something I had to get used to untill last Thursday night...knee ache and swelling ( was on going ) ... ankle swelling ( was on going )... I starting feeling light headed all the time but thursday was the day that I had to stop taking it. I felt almost as if I was going to pass out. I had a reaction to Nifedipine ( afeditab ) I had overdose symtoms with a normal BP....After stopping, within 12 hours I felt almost perfect with very little raise in BP. I called my Doctor and I am now on a new Med called lifinopril (ace inhibitor ). So far so good.....Its all good information and I hope this helps other readers.................. :-)
