HI, I'm very new to this site. I just read your post and got enough nerve to jump in. I had all your symptoms for years, except the poping sound.
I paid a lot of money going to a allergy doctor who also specalizes in all sorts of alternative stuff. CANDIDA was the big boogy bug for me. With candida you also have leaky gut syndrome. Leaky gut syndrome causes food intolorances. The stiff upper back and neck are a sign your body is reacting to something you ate. Most people with candida are also low thyroid. This Doctor gave me 12 days of diflucan @ 50mg a day. A strick no grain or sugar diet for 14days, and I have to really behave in the carb dept. or it comes back. He also had me get a caprylic acid 500mg , and acedophilus. He put me on 1gn armour thyroid. Sence I can't afford to go to him anymore I've run out of the armour thyroid. I am in the process of trying to find it online.
Thank-you for letting me jump in.

thank you so much for posting.
im concerned about the throbbing vein feeling i get on a daily basis. it happens over 100+ times in a day.

now the question is, how do i get my doctor to check me out for this? he continues to tell me everything is fine, but obviously it isnt.

Re: Here's one for Dr. House...

The varied and strange symptoms of acid reflux....go visit the GERD board where you have lots of company.

The throat symptoms are from the acid geting into your throat. The systemic symptoms are probably related to esophageal acid.

So give it a chance - a lot of people go "nah, it can't be acid" well not all acid is heartburn. And there is a really easy way to see if this is the problem. Start on PPI med therapy - 2 doses of a PPI a day (Nexium, Prevacid, Protonix, or Aciphex). Start with Nexium. It's the "latest and greatest".
Go visit the GERD board and mention your symptoms - you'll find lots of company.

Read my old posts - I'm more of a larygeal (throat) refluxer, but there's a lot of info there.
