Question Bloating/Weight Gain from Pill?

Hello,

I had been taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo for about a year, had absolutely no issues with it (i.e. weight gain, acne, mood swings, etc) NOTHING. I switched to a different healthcare provider and instead of chosing the OTC - Lo (the Brand name) I went with the generic (cheaper) brand. The first week of taking the pills I started having break outs in my jaw and chin area, the ONLY time I ever had break outs was around my period, or PMS time, and I feel like I am so bloated or have gained weight but my eating patterns haven't changed...so my question is, how common is this, should I switch back and pay the more expensive price for OTC-LO or will these side effects eventually diminish? Thanks!

Nikki

Well the side effects may diminish but it could take 3 cycles to find out. If you were happy with the OTC LO, Iwould switch back.
