Tri-Sprintec

I had been taking Orthotricyclen and last month i changed to tri-sprintec (which is the generic for of orthotricyclen) because with my insurance is free but I have been noticing that this one seemsllike it is hard on my stomach. Has any had a similar experience. I guess next month I will have to buy the brand name which dissapoints me as I wanted to save the $35 bucks.

Re: Tri-Sprintec

There is another generic for ortho tri cyclen. It is called trinessa. Maybe you could try that one before spending 35 dollars. Call around to pharmacies to find one that stocks this generic and transfer your prescription. If you have trouble finding it you could have your MD give you a new prescription for Trinessa with no substitution (brand name medically necessary) and the pharmacy would have to order it special for you.

Another thing you could try is having a small snack at the same time you take your pill, usually that will help with an upset stomach.

oh thankyou for letting me know about trinessa. I really couldn't stand the stomach pain (eating a snack with it didn't helped) and went straight to the pharmacy to get the ortho brand name and what a relief. I don't like that i have such a sensitive stomach
