Hey..I was on Bactrim(sulfa drug) for 20 days..immensely helped the acne but I got a crap load of side effects..pounding heart..dizzy..all the lesser side effects..a lot of people don't tolerate sulfa drugs well..check it out on the internet first b/4 u decide to take it..i would rather have pimples than have the side effects I got..and yes u need a prescription
ya know my bottle never said..it reads Bactrim DS..(double strength). I took 2 a day..i went to the emergency room 4 times after taking it and all the doctors in the ER said that was a high dosage for long term acne use. Did a doctor prescribe this for you?
Right now I'm taking Erythromycin but I was thinking about asking my doc for a sulfonimide. I take 500mg 2Xday of Erythromycin and it isn't helping much?!
