It could be a number of things. Since you get shaky I would think you were not since diabetics do not get low unless it is caused by medication. Now hyperglycemia (kinda think of it as the opposite of diabetes) causes some of those symptoms. Depression could be a separate problem. Depression is common with thyroid problems however you do not seem to be symptomatic of that. I am surprised that you are going to an endocrinologist without being tested be a regular doc first. Is there any other reason you are going to one? I have 2 endocrine diseases and did not get to go to one until diagnosed by my doctor and then I was referred. Just curious. Also do you have a family history or other risk factors of diabetes? I had vision trouble before I was diagnosed but I did not have contacts or glasses. Separately I could say that lots of people have contact trouble and anyone can have low sugars for going hours without eating and depression can happen to anyone as well. I would check in with a regular doc and just get a fasting glucose for starters if that is ok then you can save your money and your time on the endo specialist.

thanks for the concern,
i have already been to two docs. who reccomended that i go see an endocronologist because i get little hot flashes in my face whenever i lay or sit down and my face turns bright red....they have done blood work and put me on hormones (because they are low) and that didn't work, so they want to see if i have another problem that they can't find. Also my dad just found out that he might be diabetic and i guess i am depressed becuase no one seems to know what is going on with me (frustrated )
