I've been on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo for a little over a year, but my fiance and I almost always use condoms as well, because you just can't be too careful. This month we didn't use a condom once, and although I had been consistent in taking the pill up until then, I was 3 hours late with it the next morning. I realize that's not long and even if I had missed the pill all day the chances would be low, but I've been known to be a hypochondriac in this area, and the fact that I've been putting on weight recently and having recurring headaches and mild but persistent nausea doesn't help my paranoia. I am going through a lot of stress right now, so I'm sure that could be the cause, but I'd just like to know, until period time about a week from now, should I be worried at all? Thanks.

This should not be a problem if you have taken all the other pills correctly.
I would use the condoms as well- to save further worry. Good luck.

Just wait your week and see what happens. I am like you, if I forget a pill for an hour or two I go into a state of panic. There are over the counter pregnancy tests that can give results early, but I am not positive how early. Sometimes taking them gives a lot to your peace of mind. It sounds like you take many precautions to prevent pregnancy and should not have much reason to worry. I know, easier said than done!! Just hang in there and I am sure your period will come on time. Try to minimize your stress about it as much as possible as that can alter your period too...I know, again, easier said than done!! Good luck hun, keep us posted.

i presume your pill has a 12 hour slot during which to take it...you should just fine.
