NightMares

Is anyone getting night mares that wake you up or that you remember when you wake up in the morning? I'm getting these consistently and even though asleep I can't get any rest. I don't know what I can do but I need some uninterrupted sleep. I even woke up others in the house from screaming so loud. This is getting to be very obnoxious plus tiring. I guess I'm just frustrated and tired. I never had this problem before taking these PPI's other than an occasional scary dream after watching a scary movie. Thanks for listening.

Re: NightMares

which PPI are you on? I have not had this reaction before.. I am on Prevacid. Maybe you need to switch meds and see if that relieves it.

Re: NightMares

I'm on Protonix and was on Aciphex before that. Same thing, nightmares, bad dreams. It is listed as a side effect of almost all the PPI's unfortunately.

Re: NightMares

I am on Aciphex and have the weirdest, wildest, craziest dreams too. After months of not sleeping through the night I started taking Lunesta. I only took it for about 2 weeks, but I now sleep through the night and the dreams aren't as bad and vivid as they were before. I've been sleeping better now. I currently take prilosec in the am and aciphex in the pm. I just switched insurance companies and they authorized aciphex twice a day. I'll let you know if they come back again. Lori

Re: NightMares

So you took Lunesta and it's still helping you. Yes, let us know if taking Aciphex twice a day has any effect or not on the dreams. When I took it once a day in the morning it didn't seem to bother me so much. Vivid is the right word - I was in danger of getting eat up by a hot, moving, lava flow which was all around me but stopped short of sucking me in. How's that for disrupting your sleep. I wish that I wouldn't remember these dreams.
