Red face Warning about patch?

I received an e-mail from ortho-evra side telling that it found to be more dangerous than other types of birth control. It is only birth control I am comfortable to use. Pill doesn't work out for me. Should I immediately stop using it? Any input is welcome

Re: Warning about patch?

What exactly did they say? How is it more dangerous, what will it do?
Did they recommend stopping immediately and why?
I would contact them with your queries before you stop it unless they recommend you stop for health reasons.

Ortho Evra has been under fire for several months for causing problems, and it's been linked to death in a FEW women. There is evidence that suggests that Ortho Evra can increase your chances for some circulatory or cardiac problems, moreso than other forms of birth control.

As for what you should you, you need to consult your physician, who knows your medical history and discuss your concerns. S/he may say that you're still relatively safe, or may recommend that you do consider another form of birth control. But you need to make that first call to your physician.
