switching from Yasmin to Yaz-?

Ive been on Yasmin for 7 or 8 months now. I love it, except I have consistent breakouts. My skin was never perfect before, so its hard to tell if the pill has made it worse or better, but either way, thats how it is.

Anyway, Yasmin for me has been great for my periods. The only time it wasn't so great was when I took an extra week of active pills to postpone my period, and then took the inactive pills- my cramps were horrible when I did that.
Otherwise, despite my skin, I havent wanted to go off of it because every other pill Ive tried in my life Ive had problems with.

My dad is a gynecologist and has given me some samples of Yaz, he said just to try and see what happens (re: my skin, mainly). Im not quite sure what I would expect b/c I know it has lower estrogen? So what should I expect would happen overall? Im afraid to switch since all is going well otherwise, but because its mainly the same thing but lower-dose, I figure if i do any switch this would be the best one.

I just started my second pack of yaz, i love it so far, i havnt seen any side effects. My period lasted 2 days and i barely had any cramps. The lower estrogen has really helped with some weight gain i had on yasmin. I've lost 10 pounds in one month which is VERY unusual for me since i usually stay within a couple pounds of my normal weight even if i exercise or eat badly.
