yeast infectino?

I have a question. Is it possible for an external yeast infection to go awAy on its own? The itching startede on Sunday (i started antibiotics on Sat) and it is only fridan and it is not really itchy anymore. I have been eating yogurt. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, this can happen. If you have a yeast infection that isn't severe, the body can take care of it, especially with a little help (such as consuming the yogurt). Or, you may not have had a yeast infection at all, but just had a temporary vaginal irritation that caused the itchiness.

Thanks for the reply. I fell like a million times better today! I guess it left on its own, not that I am complaining, believe me!

For anyone who gets yeast infections I have discovered that drying your underwear in your microwave presents yeast infections! I have been yeast free for years now because of this and use to suffer with recurring episodes for years before doing this. It seems that the radiation keeps the yeast from growing. Good luck and please pass this on it really works!!!

Kerri0050,

Every time I take the antibiotic Keeflex, I will always take a yeast infection. I know how misserable they can be. But I was told the same thing to eat yogurt, pkus my pharmacist reccommend a pill you can buy over the counter that also helps. Hope you continue to feel better!
