Don't be discouraged! I've got a real hard similar situation with my almost 3 year old son. My advice to you is to look up the Great plains lab on the internet. Dr. Shaw is the founder and research doctor. He was a great help to us when we were exhausted with doctors telling us that there was nothing wrong with our son. You can call him or Pam personally, for a telephone consultation. His lab performs the tests you need. I would get tested for candida and Clostridium Diff( bacteria) Clostridium is hard to find in the stool because it dies to fast when removed from its enviroment. We are currently giving our son Culturelle GG, it replaces the good bacteria, and crowds out the bad. We see a significant change in his bowel patterns and general health as well. I would advise you to avoid all dairy while you are having the loose stools, as well as sugar. Dairy is hard on the intestines especially when they aren't functioning as well as they should. One of the most important things to avoid at this time as well are ANTIBIOTICS!! They will cause you more problems. You may have had a course of antibiotics that caused this or possibly the due to the infection you had in the past. Unless you absolutely need antibiotics, avoid them. I wish you the best, and hang in there. Once you are feeling better, you may be able to help someone like you. Please keep me posted on how you are doing. Thanks Kris
