Gerd?

Hello Im 25 and was diagnosed with GERD 5 months ago. I had a upper GI which showed reflux but no hernia. Ive been taking Prilosec for 4 months and stopped cause my symptoms went away. This was my Drs.idea. Well the last week Ive been having chest pain, burning in my throat, tightness in the throat 24/7, and pressure in the ears. Is this the GERD coming back due to me stopping the meds. or is this something else? I went back to the Prilosec a few days ago only 20mg and not much relief yet. One more thing about this GERD monster(SORRY), Ive been having alot of stomach discomfort right after I eat....like cramps. Can this be from the GERD to? Please reply if you can help me ....thanks.

You Bet-- gerd can cause havoc... many many symptoms -you may want to see a gastroenterologist for an endoscope to take a peek down your esophagus - could be irritation - hopefully no barretts esophagus creeping in - get it checked out
