Question microbial/protozoan causes of reflux

i've had reflux for about 10 years. i read somewhere that some reflux is caused by microbial, bacterial or protozoan infestations in the stomach. i think this might be the cause of mine because a recent course of antibiotics for an unrelated illness caused my reflux symptoms to subside temporarily. Further reasoning for this belief is that i have had salmonilla twice, amoebic dystentery and botulism over the last 15 years, so have been exposed to plenty of little creatures. i am getting ready to go to my bi-annual "write the Prilosec script" Dr. visit and wanted to see if anyone had any information on this so i could discuss it with my Dr. Heard of any treatments? i think i originally read it in Reader's Digest, but am unable to find it now. Any help will be appreciated.
