Side Effects of Going off Allergy Meds after long term use

I have been on prescription allergy medications continually for about 12 years---Claritin, Claritin-D, Allegra-D, Allegra, Flonase, Singulair, Astelin and Eye Drops. I am currently on 4 medications and have had a bad year still. It has been 10 years since my last allergy testing and immunotherapy. I am going in for new testing on Wednesday. In preparation for the testing, I had to go off all allergy medication. I went off the meds last Wednesday and began having hives on Saturday. I woke up today and they were bad. I itched horribly all day. Usually I would take Benedryl, but I can't take it until after Wednesday. I was also told I can't use any topical ointments because it will effect the testing. I have two questions. 1. Has anyone had a reaction like this after going off medications? 2. Any suggestions to deal with the itching?
