rope burn - skin feels strange

I got a rope burn on my fingers about 12 days ago. I suppose it might classify as a second degree burn but with no blisters.

Until recently, I had been washing it 2-3 times a day with a mild cleasner. Afterwards, I'd use Bacitracin Zinc ointment on it and cover it with a band-aid.

I don't think a band-aid is still necessary but should I continue with the Bacitracin Zinc ointment?

One finger has two burns on it. One burn is near the tip but on the side of the finger. The other burn is on the palm side in the middle of the finger. When I try to curl my fingers into a fist, the skin feels strange. I'm not sure what it feels like. I think it feels sore, possibly strained, and maybe like the skin is stretching. It's such an odd feeling that I can't describe it.

Is this normal? Is there anything special I should be using on the burns? A special scar ointment or a moisturizer?

I don't think it's anything serious enought to go to the doctor. I don't even have health insurance so I couldn't go anyway. But other than the problems that I described, it seems to be healing very well (at least for me).
