I have just been put on Linessa. It is one of the newest birth control pills out there right now. Is anyone on it? And how are you doing with it? Any negetives?

It looks like it is the same as cyclessa here in the US...Are these your active ingredients? Ethinyl Estradiol 25 mcg x 21 days, Desogestrel 0.1 mg x 7 days, 0.125 mg x 7 days, 0.15 mg x 7 days. This one has been around for a bit in the US, (it already has 2 generic versions, velivet & cesia). I take kariva (generic for mircette), which has the same hormones, just not a tri-phasic regimen. I've taken it 4 years with no problems...
Thanks for the response. The active ingredients are the same but have different dosages. Did u have a problem with weight gain from being on this bcp? That is a big concern for me as I am still trying to lose the weight from my pregnancy. Thanks.
Well, when I started mircette (4 years ago) I was only 18, and I was 5'6 and 104 pounds ( I think you are in canada so heres the metric version: 170cm and 47kg)...Now I am still the same height, but weigh 115 pounds (52kg). I am going to say the weight gain was more from growing up and eating better, not from the pill.
I would say my only 3 side effects were a lighter period, an extra cup size(maybe due to the weight gain?) and of and on headaches on my first placebo days, but nothing a couple motrin couldn't fix.
That's a major relief for me! I just started Linessa today... I've been taking birth control for the last three years. First I was on alesse. I went on it for two years before I got a bad break through that lasted a month.. I hated being on alesse and I gained 34 pounds! Which I found a lot.. before I went on alesse I was 5'9 & 134 pounds, after alessa I weighted 168.. I was not impressed by that! I went on marvelon, which is made by the same company as Linessa and have been on it for the past year and lost all 34 pounds I gained plus 6 less pounds (now weighing 128). I have not changed my diet or exercised anymore than before. It's a major relief to know that you didn't gain that much weight because I would be really upset if I did again. (although some chest may be nice.. I went down three cup sizes since I went off alesse :[) haha
