Re: retin a micro

I've been using retin A micro for the past 3 month and I love it. I've had bad experiences with other Retin A products in the past but I have been using the Micro for the past 3 months (applied religously every night after washing my face) and I have never looked better. It certainly didn't treat my acne right away, in fact almost 2 weeks after I started using it I broke out a little worse than usual, but I was told this is to be expected. Now I haven't had a bad breakout in a long time...just the occasional small pimple that nobody else notices but me!

As for face wash, I use what's called an "Alpha Cleanser" that my dermatologist sells at her office (it's orange and smells like citrus) and that works great. For a moisturizer I use what's called "Effidrate" by a company called La Roche-Posay (which my derm also sells at her office). Both products are amazing for combo skin.

I use Benzaclyn in the morning if I have to do any spot treatment (but don't use a peroxide with the retin-A because they almost cancel each other out). I rarely have to use the Benz anymore because the Retin A has worked so well. Good luck with it and keep using it every night...and oh yeah, USE SUNSCREEN or wear a hat!

Re: retin a micro

I love retin-a micro. I've been using it for a year now. In fact, I think I need a strong prescription because I don't have any more peeling now.
My derm. just gave me sulphera (sp) - it's a mask I put on and rinse off an hour before I use my retin-a. It has sulfur in it. He told me to use them together.
