Hi-
My brother is also disabled, so when I read your email, I completely understood what you were asking about. It is extremely hard for me to look at him and then realize that I am still "normal" when he should be, but isn't, according to some people. What I try to do is to look at him and think to myself how much of a better person he is now. He has so much more strength and courage than any other normal person does. He faces obstacles that "normal" people don't even have to encounter on a day to day basis. My advice....be proud of him and show it. Brag about him to your friends, do things with him, and please take the opportunity to listen and talk to him. It will end up helping you and him. Good luck!
