Thumbs up Acne

Hi Everyone: I am new to this site but wanted to share some information. I to have acne and 47, it seems as I turned 40 it got worse. Beleive me I have tried everything, pills, creams, and all skin care products until................

One night I was sitting on the couch late at night and came across one of those many info commercials. Long and behold it was Proactive. Well I thought what have I got to loose, but nothing. So, I bought it and it has been three years now and would highly recommend it. It has WORKED. I still have breakouts but not like I did. I can face people and not feel embarrassed. I have always hated the feel of heavy makeup to cover up my acne now I don't have too. I have clear skin and now use a power foundation which is lighter and much easier on my skin. I use to go to work and than home and no where else. Now I love this stuff and will continue to use it, it does not dry and now I see everyone is using even the rich and famous.

So, when you think nothing works give it a try. I order in now on line from the the shopping channel. They have a excellant selection and I never run out. I swear even when I turn 80 I will still be using it.

I know and feel and understand with all my heart what you go through with Acne. So, many times when I see young people with acne I just want to reach out and tell them. But I don't as I don't want to embarrass them anymore than we all have been.

Give it a try.

Re: Acne

It seems like Proactiv works because you use an alkaline (the benzoyl peroxide), then an acid (glycolic acid), then an alkaline (benzoyl peroxide), which would kill bacteria not only because bacteria are adapted to one or the other, but because of the sharp change in pH. I have been using citrus fruits to clear my face, which has been working well. I wonder if you could use some cheaper benzoyl peroxide, then use a citrus fruit, then use the benzoyl again, and get the same results as proactiv. I've never actually tried proactiv myself. No offense, I'm sorry to say this, but you sound like an advertisement, and I was seriously wondering if you work for proactiv.

Re: Acne

Hi: No I don't work for Proactive but maybe if I did I would get a deal on the products. I simply wanted to share my results with everyone sorry to hear you were not excited. After spending all the money that I have and seeing doctor after doctor sharing my luck is all that I wanted to do. I wish someone would have suggested it to me years ago.

Re: Acne

proactiv does not work for everybody. it did not work for me. It gave me more. I tried to give it more time because I hoped that it will take the acne off, but it just got worse and worse. I stopped using it and started on tetracycline which clear my face in just 2 weeks...

Re: Acne

Didn't work for me either. I ordered it for a full year and was very faithful in using it. I felt my skin was the worst it had ever been.

I'm glad it worked for you 1blondie.
