Question autotmatic?

I filed for SS disb. at the end of Sept after coming home from the hosp after suffering a heart attack and subsequent stent insertion. I still have 40 to 60 % blockages in my remaining arteries, also I had a stroke 7 years ago leaving me with little physical strength and some visual impairments, I am on 9 different medicatons, also I have peripheal vascular disease which is very severe to the point that walking or standing is extremely restricted. Anyway my question is that in the SS blue book that lists qualifying disabilities PVD is listed as is COPD which I also suffer from. Is the mere listing of these disease's a guarantee of approval? also will I get back benifits to the end of SEPT if I am approved? Should I have heard by now?

------------------
56 year old male, recent heart attack, stent insertion, had hemoragic stroke 7 years ago, suffer from peripheal vascular disease, very severe, walk with cane and use of wheelchair, have high BP and currently am taking about 9 meds daily, includin, atenol 2times a day, novasc, zestoretic, plavex, zocor, asprin and who knows what else.

I think you should have heard something by now. I would call and ask. If approved, your payments should be retroactive to the date you were qualified which, not knowing the particulars, could be prior to September. It depends on your income, work history and inclusive dates of your disability. The SSA has access to almost all of this information except your medical history.

As far as 'guarantees'go, you know as well as I, nothing is guaranteed - less automatic. Sometimes you have to fight for what you deserve and are eligible for. Unfortunately, the SSA seems to play games with those most in need. There are recourses, keep fighting. Documentation is everything.
