2 years after appling for disability, the hearing and appeals judge has determined I am fully disabled. How long will it take to get a first check. I dont mean to sound greedy but my bank acct is wiped out. Thanks in advance for your help

I really can't answer that but was wondering what your disability is and did you have a attorney after first denial?I applied in March and was told I would not hear anything until July.
Pray that someone can help you and you get payment soon It is really hard with no income I lost my job as I have not been able to work since Aug. of 2002
Best of luck to you
Elaine

Elaine-Looking at what you are going through, I know I'm not as bad off as you! But I do know some of the pain meds that you are on, personally. I was denied three times before getting a lawyer and seeing a judge. I had a difficult time talking about my disability, and having a lawyer was a God send for me. He said if I had contacted him earlier, I would have gotten it sooner. The state I live in seems to get things done a little quicker than most I heard about. I had my denials within 3 months each time. The judge contacted me after about 2 1/2 weeks. Good Luck to you.
